Isle is a technology and innovation consultancy specialising in innovative water, wastewater and asset management technologies. We have a proven track record in accelerating the development and commercialisation of emerging technologies through our Technology Approval Group “TAG” – the industry forum that drives innovation. The Australian business works with clients in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.   About the role Contract type:  Permanent (full-time) Start date:  Immediate Location:  Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane (Australia) Reporting to: Professional Services Director Salary:  Negotiable depending on experience     What you’ll be doing Under supervision of Isle’s Professional Services Director, you will be assisting in the delivery of consultancy projects in Australia and the wider region. A significant part of your work will be in the evaluation of suitable technologies for client needs and providing market intelligence for new technologies seeking to enter their product or service into the market. We undertake a diverse range of projects so there is always a new challenge. Furthermore, you will be asked to contribute to the expansion of Isle’s Australian business as we are currently growing. The role will require the following: Engaging with clients to define problems and objectives. Collecting required data from several sources including the client, within Isle, our network and from public sources. Conducting interviews with technology companies and utility contacts. Analysing the data to create meaningful market intelligence and/or strategic advice. Presenting the results by writing and presenting. Writing short but complete and supported strongly by visuals. Presenting with focus on the needs of the audience. Attend client meetings with senior staff. Project management, including information supply to clients and colleagues, file management and quality control. The role will be based from your home. Coworking office space may be provided if necessary. Interstate and possibly overseas travel will be required from time to time.   What the role requires Engineering or science-based degree. Minimum 5 years experience in a professional consulting capacity. Good understanding of the Australian water industry landscape. Ability to understand client needs and develop specialist consulting advice. Motivated self-starter with ability to work under own initiative remotely. Structured and methodological approach to task completion and a well organised approach to project delivery. Working within a team, including under direction of senior staff and with colleagues working in other countries. Recognising new opportunities when working with clients.
