We are looking for a talented environmental engineering or science professional, motivated to work in a design studio focused on urban environmental projects with a focus on urban ecology, sustainable water management and active transport.  You should be able to demonstrate an interest in shaping sustainable cities.  You must be a motivated, organised team player with a willingness to learn, an ability to apply your skills creatively, and to work across disciplinary boundaries.  Teamwork is at the heart of our studio and you will have the opportunity to collaborate on a wide range of exciting landscape, urban, environmental and international projects. The preferred candidate will have an interest in collaborating across disciplines working with landscape architects, planners and urban designers. About You To be successful in the role, you will have the following skills, experience and personal attributes: A degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, with a strong academic record A minimum of 2 years professional experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent computational skills including data analysis, modelling and interpretation An ability to present technical information effectively, to a broad non-technical audience A strong work ethic with a proactive approach to opportunities and with high performance standards A curiosity for ongoing learning and development An ability to work effectively independently and in teams. Applicants who can also demonstrate the following desirable skills, experience and attributes would be highly regarded: Experience in a consulting practice Demonstrated ability to work across disciplinary boundaries Experience in water quality, WSUD, urban ecology, active transport, hydrology and hydraulics, GIS, engineering design and computer aided drafting Experience using MUSIC, DRAINS, QGIS, AutoCAD or similar software Working at McGregor Coxall McGregor Coxall are a multi-disciplinary design firm located in Australia, China and the UK dedicated to assisting cities achieve sustainable prosperity.
