As Engineer - Asset Management your skills and expertise will be utilised for the development and implementation of lifecycle asset management and associated strategies, policies, standards, business processes and systems including: asset registers; asset maintenance systems; performance reporting; benchmarking and audit for water supply and wastewater assets. Additionally, you will have the responsibility for condition assessment used for depreciation, valuation and risk assessment purposes. At a strategic level, you will develop risk based renewal capital works programs for the ongoing operation of the Water Unit objectives, levels of service and asset management requirements. You will liaise with the Water Unit Business Accountant, regarding the financial asset register and valuation and you will supervise two staff members. Council owns and operates $1 billion worth of water and sewer infrastructure and budgets an average of $60 million annually for new and upgraded water and sewer infrastructure. We are seeking: Bachelor of Engineering Well developed knowledge of, and substantial experience in, asset management applied to utility type infrastructure Demonstrated knowledge of computerised maintenance management and asset management systems.
