We provide water and wastewater services to a population of 125,000 (over 60,000 customers) in 54 towns who are connected to 37 water supply systems and 26 wastewater management facilities.

Our region extends from the outskirts of Melbourne in the south, to the Murray River in the north, covering approximately 20,000km2. With an extensive irrigation district and network of rivers and creeks our bulk water supply is principally sourced from the Goulburn, Broken, Murray, Steavenson, Rubicon and Delatite River systems and a number of smaller local streams including Sunday Creek and Seven Creeks.

A rare opportunity in water treatment has arisen in Shepparton for interested and genuine applicants who either are looking to continue their career or join the water industry as a Water Treatment Plant Operator. Role requirements: Working with the Corporation’s Water Treatment Plants and facilities, in this critical role, you will be responsible for providing the community with safe and quality drinking water at various sites including Shepparton, Tatura, Kyabram and Tongala. Key accountabilities, skills and experience: Drivers Licence (mandatory) Keen interest in water industry operations Mechanical aptitude High level safety ethic Ability to problem solve and make decisions Reliable and good team player Possession of willingness to obtain Certificate 3 in Water Industry Treatment This position is suitable for graduates in the science/engineering field looking for entry into the water industry with the opportunity to expand on this traditional role.    *The classification for this position will be determined by the individual’s relevant qualifications, skills and experience.
