The Central Coast now has one ​council, ​following the merger of Gosford City and Wyong Shire Councils on Thursday 12 May 2016.  Central Coast Council is one of the largest in Australia, servicing over 330,000 residents, managing an annual budget of $800 million, as well as over $8 billion in assets for its growing community.
