Our Manly Hydraulics Laboratory team within Water Infrastructure NSW (WINSW) is currently seeking to appoint a Water Information Specialist with experience in the dual areas of Data Analysis and Hydrography.

About You

 

MHL is seeking an experienced Water Information Specialist with experience in the dual areas of:

 

  • Data analysis, editing, interpretation, presentation and reporting in accordance with quality procedures and project management requirements.
  • Hydrography, including the operation and maintenance of hydrographic and water quality instrumentation, and the collection of water samples in accordance with quality procedures.

 

As part of multidisciplinary project teams, you will have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with strong communication and technical writing skills. Experience in project management and Microsoft Office Suite is required for this position. You will also have the capacity to demonstrate competency in working safely in and around water.  

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team of experienced scientists, engineers, and hydrographers to deliver high quality, cost effective and innovative solutions to our clients. 

 

Essential Requirements

 

  • Appropriate Tertiary Qualification in Science or Engineering at Degree level.
  • You will have comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in water data management analysis, information reporting and project management.
  • Experience in the use of water management databases such as WISKI, Aquarius and Hydstra would be an advantage.

 

Please note travel is occasionally required for this role therefore you must have a valid NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel across various locations within NSW including overnight stay.
