We are seeking a Water Resources professional with a background in Integrated Water Management, knowledge of the water industry with strategy development skills and a passion for problem solving, to help develop sustainable, liveable and climate resilient water solutions.

You’ll join our Water Resources Team in Melbourne or any of our regional offices in Victoria, and you'll work as part of our experienced team, playing a key role in the delivery of ambitious and interesting projects that allow you a balance of technical work, project management, operational support, business development and client engagement.

While working with Victoria’s unique water resources, you'll also have access to the wider professional development and multi-disciplinary opportunities offered by a leading global consultancy.

We have a long-standing relationship with the water sector, municipal councils, state government and broader industry, and we strive to understand and deliver on our clients' needs for improved community outcomes.

This diverse and exciting position will see you involved in:

  • Contributing to and leading Integrated Water Management, Water Resource and Strategic Water planning projects across the water business
  • Collaboration and facilitation of technical inputs from people across the GHD business
  • Undertaking modelling, analysis and assessment activities
  • Writing reports and technical documentation
  • Assisting with facilitation of workshops and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Leading or assisting with preparation of tenders and bids

What would you bring to the team?

  • 6 or more years of experience in a similar role
  • Relevant tertiary skills (engineering, science)
  • Understanding of water, sustainability and environmental policy
  • Experience with water infrastructure, water resource planning or water sensitive urban design
  • Data analysis and modelling skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to take a holistic view of a problem
  • Excellent written communication skills, and confident presentation skills
  • Experience with business development activities and client liaison
  • Proven ability to lead projects, work independently with minimal supervision to tight deadlines
