The Opportunity: This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to do meaningful work with an organisation that seeks to share, connect, and inspire a sustainable water future. Your creative design will be used to communicate our vision and purpose.

 

As the Association's Graphic and Digital Designer, you will be responsible for owning and delivering the design elements required by the organisation.

 

This role champions the Association's brand. It is responsible for ensuring all communications, campaigns and material are delivered to brand standards and on time.

 

With your open and collaborative mindset, you will provide creative solutions across all business areas (Events, International and Industry Programs, Membership & Marketing) whilst keeping ‘on brand’ and meeting deadlines.

 

You will also assist with general marketing activities to enhance our member value proposition and our reputation more broadly.

 

Your work will be varied and vibrant, with responsibilities including:

  • Create visual and engaging content across all digital platforms and print, including event programs, our Annual Report and Annual Review, magazine advertisements, e-journals, blogs, technical papers, and social media graphics; infographics; basic banner and exhibition booth design; and photo and graphic editing
  • Brand Management by championing our Style and Voice to ensure brand recognition, consistency and quality that resonates with our members and broader audience
  • Keep up to date with emerging digital trends and customer engagement and behaviours
  • Articulate and present creative ideas to internal stakeholders and senior leaders
  • Being a strong team player and working cohesively to deliver agreed output

What you’ll need to succeed: You are a well organised, qualified graphic and digital designer with high attention to detail and can work across multiple projects and platforms simultaneously. With a collaborative and solution-focused mindset, you have experience working in a dynamic team environment and excellent stakeholder management skills.

You will also have:

  • 5+ years of experience in graphic and digital design
  • Experience in designing and producing interactive online content including email templates, social media graphics, promotional artwork and informative programs, reports and e-journals and banner advertisements
  • Experience designing and producing corporate documentation and templates
  • Demonstrated experience with finished artwork and dealing with printers
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Photography and basic animation / video skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of digital design principles & brand management
  • Be proactive by nature and can plan, initiate and drive projects, while enlisting the enthusiastic support of others.
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge

 

Desirable: Knowledge or experience with the water sector, Association or similar would be an advantage.
