Description

Mackay Regional Council is seeking a self-motivated, energetic individual that can work autonomously within a team environment to assist in the development and improvement of planned maintenance schedules for Mackay Regional Council's water and wastewater assets.

 

About this opportunity:

This position has a primary focus area where you'll be organising planned and reactive maintenance work to ensure equipment is reliably available to produce world quality drinking water and high-level treatment at the region's wastewater plants per Council's Strategies and Policies for asset management and maintenance.

 

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Qualifications in Engineering, Maintenance planning, relevant Trade Qualification Certificate IV (preferred); or
  • Lesser formal qualifications combined with relevant experience; or
  • Attained, through previous appointments, service and/or study, an equivalent level of expertise and experience to undertake the range of activities required
  • General Safety Induction Training, or ability to achieve.
  • Current QLD “C” Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent.
  • Practical experience in the planning and scheduling of preventative/planned maintenance works.
  • Practical experience in the planning, scheduling and delivery of minor projects and maintenance works.
  • Experience developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop standard operating procedures and work instructions.
