Mackay Regional Council is seeking a self-motivated, energetic individual that can work autonomously within a team environment to assist in the development and improvement of planned maintenance schedules for Mackay Regional Council's water and wastewater assets.
About this opportunity:
This position has a primary focus area where you'll be organising planned and reactive maintenance work to ensure equipment is reliably available to produce world quality drinking water and high-level treatment at the region's wastewater plants per Council's Strategies and Policies for asset management and maintenance.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Qualifications in Engineering, Maintenance planning, relevant Trade Qualification Certificate IV (preferred); or
Lesser formal qualifications combined with relevant experience; or
Attained, through previous appointments, service and/or study, an equivalent level of expertise and experience to undertake the range of activities required
General Safety Induction Training, or ability to achieve.
Current QLD “C” Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent.
Practical experience in the planning and scheduling of preventative/planned maintenance works.
Practical experience in the planning, scheduling and delivery of minor projects and maintenance works.
Experience developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
Demonstrated ability to develop standard operating procedures and work instructions.
