The opportunity

This position exists to provide leadership in the delivery and completion of a number of City West Water’s major programmed works projects.

The role delivers on our non-negotiables of project delivery (safety, compliance with WSAA, Australian Standards and industry best practice for quality and environmental protection) while also positioning City West Water to be leaders in the water industry.

The position supports the Major Programmed Works Team Leader and the Project Delivery Manager to drive a culture that places customers first, focuses on high performance and developing our people, and is a leader across the Group as we transform City West Water’s services from asset centric to customer centric.

 

What you’ll bring to the role

Experience in:

  • managing contractors and field personnel
  • design and construction of assets
  • management of construction contracts
  • managing safety on construction sites and/or maintenance workplaces
  • working with regulators such as local councils, VicRoads, state and federal government departments, DELWP and AAV
  • using project management tools
  • financial and budget management.

You will have excellent communication skills and an ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. Your ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and be agile in adapting and responding to project needs will ensure your success. You will have a qualification in an Engineering discipline.
