Senior Waterways and Drainage Engineer

We offer a broad range of services covering feasibility studies, planning, design, project management, construction and asset management services as well as operational optimisation. Our people use selective research, perform pilot trials, fine-tune existing systems and transfer technologies from other industries to improve quality and manage asset costs.
Working with a leading water resources and water infrastructure team, this position offers great variety of projects, and will see you involved in:
⦁ Leading waterways and drainage studies for mining and resources clients, as well as transportation infrastructure projects including some of Western Australia’s prominent major projects ⦁ Being part of a team that includes leading practitioners in the Western Australian industry ⦁ Providing creative solutions to fit the needs of our clients and communities ⦁ Carrying out hydrology and hydraulic modelling and infrastructure designs to inform planning studies through to detailed design of new infrastructure ⦁ Leading and contributing to the preparation of proposals and technical reports ⦁ Developing and maintaining client relationships ⦁ Management of project teams to deliver services within agreed financial and time budgets ⦁ Mentoring junior team members
What you will bring to the team:
⦁ Suitable qualifications, ideally Bachelor of Engineering - Civil or similar, with 5-10 years experience in a similar role ⦁ Proven experience at all stages of the project lifecycle, from preparing bids to feasibility studies, consenting, detailed design and data analysis, and stakeholder management ⦁ Experience with hydrology and hydraulic modelling software ⦁ Demonstrated experience in professional service delivery ⦁ Advanced written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues and gain buy in to decision making ⦁ An interest in coaching and mentoring to technically strengthen the team capabilities
