This senior leadership position presents as a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to become our next Asset Optimisation Coordinator.

You will manage a small team of technical employees, focussing on civil and mechanical issues related to the Corporation.

With an appetite for strategic planning and continual improvement the asset management processes of Goulburn Valley Water will be in good hands.

Ideally you will have a water industry background, where you will be able to apply and share your knowledge of trends, standards and regulations application to water.

An engineering degree is complemented with existing technical expertise and strength in leadership that supports, encourages and challenges your team

About your new role...
Based in Shepparton you will be at the helm of a small team of technical employees, leading them to focus on all civil and mechanical management issues related to Goulburn Valley Water.

 You are known for providing effective communications with a varied audience, and this ensures your ability to provide strategic and operational asset performance advice across the business.

 You will be joining a multidisciplinary team who are based at the Shepparton Operations Centre. Here you will enjoy being part of the organisation that houses our operations and technical staff and be benefited from hassle free parking! You will be afforded the ability to work flexibly, in line with GVW’s flexible working policy.

About you...
To be considered for this role you must have demonstrated the following:

  • Degree or above in Engineering with the ability to be registered and practice as a Professional Engineer
  • Diploma or above in Leadership and Management is preferred
  • Extensive relevant engineering experience in the Water Industry
  • Substantial knowledge and understanding of asset management practices relevant to the Water Industry
  • Knowledge of current standards and regulations applying to the Water Industry
  • Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Advanced communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving skills
  • High level technical ability in relation to asset management
  • Highly capable in liaising with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external 
  • Strong OHS commitment and focus
  • Committed to contributing positively to your team and the organisation
  • A current driver’s licence
  • COVID-19 Vaccinated or Exemption
