RPS has new and exciting full-time opportunities forSeniorWater Resources Engineerto join our well-respected, specialist Water Management team inPerth. The role will augment our existing Senior Water Team leadership and reflect our business growth, driven by industry-leading innovation and practical water management solutions delivery.
Undertaking water resource planning and management, flood and floodplain assessment, groundwater and surface water development engineering, water supply pipelines and pumping systems and civil designs such as roads, floodways, channels, bunds, culverts and bulk earthworks. Operating in this senior role, you will take responsibility for elements of our operations management, staff coaching, high-level technical review and Client-focused delivery. You will collaborate with and support a team of water resource engineers.
Our preferred candidate will be acivil engineerwith experience in surface water control, water supply systems, and environmental engineering in the resource sector in WA. You will need to have similar previous project and consultancy experience and a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the civil design and WA hydrological settings.

Key Areas of Responsibility are but not limited to:
Project scoping, designing and managing large projects;
Providing advanced level advice and guidance to project teams and clients;
Leading the preparation of proposals, contract documentation and technical specifications;
Coordinating work programmes and direction of resources for projects;
Providing high level technical and project management advice/coaching to direct reports;
Efficient operation of the team
Business and client relationship development
To be successful, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
BE/MSc Engineering (Civil background is preferred).
Eligible for chartered engineering status.
Minimum 5 years experience for Senior position and 10 years experience for Principal position in civil design and water resources work, particularly mine water management.
Demonstrated experience in surface water assessment, including water resource management, flood modelling, storage design (tanks, turkeys nests, etc.), flood diversions, pipe crossings, drains, and culverts.
Demonstrated experience in civil detail design such as bunds, bulk earthworks, concrete, diversion channels, road and floodway.
Demonstrable experience in mine dewatering systems, borefields, and mine site services (process, potable, wastewater systems) would be an advantage.
Excellent time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
Skilled in stakeholder engagement and negotiations.
Enthusiastic about managing and leading a project team and support of business operations.
