About us: The Australian Water Association (AWA) is a national not-for-profit organisation and Australia’s biggest water network. Our Purpose is to inspire and drive a sustainable water future. We work with almost 400 volunteers to provide opportunities for our members to Share, ConnectandInspire through our networks, events, programs and content. We also contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in our region through our International Program. We have recently celebrated our 60th Anniversary and we are proud of the contribution that we have made to the water sector, through our members and to the quality of life and prosperity of all Australians and beyond.
After a very successful year we are embarking on the next exciting phase of our customer experience (CX) digital transformation and have ambitious plans for our people and our members. In doing this we are focussing on enhancing our employee experience and opportunities for our team. We are introducing a number of key roles to enable us to do even more great work for our members and to achieve a sustainable water future.

Working closely with and reporting to our Head of Communications & Corporate Services you will be responsible for:
enhancing our member experience and increasing AWAs profile and reputation more broadly through our digital content and communications.
helping to drive engagement with our products and services such as membership and events through effective and targeted marketing.
implementing our digital communications and marketing strategy and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure its relevance and effectiveness while providing a superior member experience.
assisting in the development of a fully integrated digital tactical plan and plan, implement and evaluate digital campaigns and communications
raising brand awareness, reputation and profile by determining key messaging and campaigns to engage our members and the community.
We strive to foster a ‘One AWA’ culture by connecting and working closely with our colleagues, this means collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver on our member centric strategy.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Strong understanding of digital marketing and it’s interrelationship with social media and website development.
Well-developed content creation skills across digital, online and social including copywriting, editing and video production.
Great at developing, nurturing and managing positive working relationships and deliver excellent client service with both internal and external clients.
As every day at AWA is different you will need excellent organisation and time management skills as well as exceptional attention to detail.
