With significant growth in GVW’s asset base and an increased focus on preventative maintenance programs a great opportunity presents for an exceptional candidate.
Armed with an Electrician’s Licence (A), you will be responsible for undertaking and overseeing new and existing work on the Corporation’s electrical installations.
You are a great team player who enjoys working in a dynamic environment demonstrating your excellent time management skills on a regular basis. Your commitment to safety is without fault.
Our service footprint is spread over a large geographic area and this role will require you to work across our business with the primary area of responsibility being our Southern Districts from Seymour to Alexandra and surrounds.
About your new role...
You will work within a friendly and supportive team, where your professional strengths will complement their skills and experience to conduct asset monitoring and maintenance activities within their remit.
Responsible for providing water and wastewater services to more than 50,000 households and more than 130,000 people in our region, your contribution to the team will ensure required services are delivered adequately.
Adaptability to changing priorities to maintain operations is a strength along with your ability to provide specialist electrical and instrumentation knowledge and support across maintenance projects and operational requirements.
You will be joining an essential service organisation passionate about delivering quality water and wastewater services to our customers. Water quality compliance requirements have increased the focus on automation, monitoring and telemetry response presenting this as an outstanding opportunity for a self-motivated and experienced tradesperson to join the team.

We provide water and wastewater services to a population of 125,000 (over 60,000 customers) in 54 towns who are connected to 37 water supply systems and 26 wastewater management facilities.
Our region extends from the outskirts of Melbourne in the south, to the Murray River in the north, covering approximately 20,000km2. With an extensive irrigation district and network of rivers and creeks our bulk water supply is principally sourced from the Goulburn, Broken, Murray, Steavenson, Rubicon and Delatite River systems and a number of smaller local streams including Sunday Creek and Seven Creeks.
