The Opportunity

Join TasWater’s Asset Performance team in a leadership role and contribute to the sustainable management of Tasmania's water and sewerage infrastructure. Your expertise and leadership will play a crucial role in ensuring the long-term reliability and performance of our assets, providing safe and reliable services to our customers and communities.

You will lead  the performance, reliability, and lifespan improvement of TasWater's infrastructure assets through the application of asset management and engineering principles, data analysis, and innovative strategies.

This is a permanent position that can be located in Hobart, Devonport or Launceston. Full time hours are offered with hybrid arrangements and flexible start/finish times available. Part time arrangement will also be considered.

The position attracts a total remuneration package ranging from $194K - $228K per annum (including superannuation).

Key Accountabilities

  • Actively participate as a senior leader in the organisation, including participation in various forums and championing culture change and the strategic direction for the Group
  • Provide high level leadership, guidance and supervision and apply TasWater’s people management practices to uphold a positive working environment that reflects our vision, values and behaviours
  • Lead asset performance analysis to complete detailed condition assessments and reliability analysis to determine the root cause of asset failure informing future plans
  • Lead the production of capital investment plans and maintenance strategies that reflect the needs of asset, system and respond to issues identified via analysis and stakeholders

Your Application

Your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the selection criteria in the Position Description, summarised as follows:

  • Your qualifications or demonstrated experience in Engineering or Asset Management
  • Your experience in the utilities sector, and how this relates to water and waste water infrastructure management and investment.
  • Your ability to deploy a structured approach to problem solving, work practices and people leadership.
  • Your experience in managing budgetary and resource limits, with compliance and licence conditions.
