About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Communications and Engagement Adviser to add value to our small team. You will help to lead and support the development and delivery of programs, concepts, strategies and educational content for our internal and external audiences, across multiple platforms.

Reporting to the Manager Communications and Engagement, you will also be required to:

  • Work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Recognise when other managers or staff should be consulted regarding proposed decisions and actions
  • Apply a high level of reasoning, judgement, interpretation and problem-solving skills
  • Work in a collaborative environment, sharing ideas, concepts and strategies.

What can you bring to the role?

You will be able to provide best practice advice, develop comprehensive plans and create high quality communication content and materials suited to a range of channels and diverse audiences.

We are also looking for you to:

  • Demonstrate high-level communications and engagement skills that are adaptable to the priorities of the organisation
  • Possess the ability to build strong relationships, quickly establishing and building rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Exercise sound judgement and initiative
  • Have the ability to work to deadlines and be flexible
  • Possess high level computer skills, including experience with digital design and website platforms.

Ideally, you will have a tertiary qualification in media, marketing or communications and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development. You will also have previous experience in planning for and delivering engagement initiatives including educational talks and tours, with IAP2 qualifications an advantage.

Band 3 (starting from $70,081 - $91,032 per annum, dependant on candidates qualifications and experience) plus 11% superannuation.
