About the role
Ventia are seeking applicants for the position of an Occupational Hygiene technician for a 6-12 months contract, based either in Melbourne or Sydney.

Ventia has remediated over 140 iconic and complex sites in our 30 year history. We invest considerable resources to protect the occupational health of our workforce and the community during the clean-up of hazardous environments associated with contaminated land remediation. Ventia prides itself on implementing industry best practice approaches to solving complex occupational health and environmental hazards. Our multi-faceted approach when evaluating and controlling hazardous working environments includes the design and operation of engineering controls in addition to real-time monitoring, and where necessary, the effective training and use in the latest personal protective equipment.
As industry leaders in contaminated land remediation and occupational hygiene services in construction and tunnelling, this Sydney-based role provides a solid grounding in the principles of occupational hygiene and will involve personal exposure monitoring and associated reporting on some of Australia’s most iconic projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to liaise and effectively communicate across multiple levels of the working environment, including the workforce, management, and project clients.

This role will sit within Ventia’s Occupational Health and Hygiene Group and will be supported by a team of occupational hygiene professionals, including many Certified Occupational Hygienists (COH)®.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and has either completed, in progress, or prepared to commence a Masters Degree in Occupational Hygiene.
