We are NSW’s bulk water supplier, river operator and your one-stop shop for licensing, water trades and water information. We supply two thirds of water used in NSW from our 42 dams, rivers and pipelines to regional towns, irrigators, Sydney Water and local water utilities. We also own and operate the largest surface and groundwater monitoring network in the southern hemisphere and build, maintain and operate essential infrastructure.
We are currently looking for a Water Regulation Officer to join our team at our Dubbo office.

At WaterNSW our goal is to ensure we go above and beyond to meet our customers’ expectations. As a Water Regulation Officer, you will be the first point of contact for customer front line enquiries. Key to the role will be assessing applications lodged to extract groundwater, regulated and unregulated water including assessments on the environmental impacts of proposed applications.
You will be a self-starter driven to achieve outcomes and thrive in an environment where you have clear deadlines and expectations set. You will enjoy working autonomously and take accountability for your work outputs. You do not shy away from dealing with conflict situations and have the negotiation skills to make an impact in a positive way. What is required?
Degree in Science, Natural Resource Management or related discipline or equivalent experience (not compulsory)
Strong knowledge of legislation and other regulatory instruments relevant to water regulation and natural resource management
Experience managing and monitoring natural resources within a regulatory environment
NSW drivers licence
