Temporary full time position

Drouin’s population is growing rapidly and this means Gippsland Water need to expand the capacity of the existing wastewater treatment plant to meet the town’s needs. After extensive research, it was agreed that the best course of action is to build a new wastewater treatment plant. For further information about the project, please click here.

In this role you will work closely with the Senior Engineer Project Delivery and have the opportunity to provide your input and manage the planning, design, tendering, construction and commissioning phases of the upgrade to the Drouin Wastewater Treatment Plant – one of Gippsland Water’s most significant projects to date.

To be considered for this role you must have a tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline.

In addition to the above qualification, to be successful in this role you will have;

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Experience in the delivery and management of construction projects for water industry infrastructure or equivalent
  • Excellent project management skills and experience in overseeing construction to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, quality control and safety
  • Experience writing and reviewing technical specifications and preparing contract documentation

The successful candidate will be employed on a temporary full time basis for the duration of the project that is expected to be a period of five years.
