An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and passionate Senior Network Engineer to join the Water Network Program with Mackay Regional Council.
In this crucial role, you will assist Water and Waste Services to meet its targets and objectives in both Council’s Corporate and Operational Plans. Key responsibilities of this role include; leading the Network Planning and Maintenance team, coordinating with the network field staff to assist with planning, monitoring and maintenance of network assets and continually reviewing operations of Water and Waste Network with the concept of continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Engineering or related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution and membership of the institution of Engineers (Australia) or relevant experience and a current ‘C’ Class drivers Licence. Strong skills in the supervision and management of employees and contractors, combined with the ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, including codes of practice, Australian Standards, WH&S, EPA and QA is also essential.
