Mackay Regional Council has a rare opportunity for a SCADA Engineer to join the Water Network team on a 12-month temporary contract.
This position provides technical support services associated with the automation of treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs and other process infrastructure to ensure quality and continuous service.
The duties of this position includes manage backup and recovery plans, specifications and organisational strategies for SCADA hardware and software. Provide input to the development and maintenance of SCADA/Telemetry documentation and record keeping processes. Manage and perform PLC, RTU, SCADA software setup, installation, configuration, program modifications and design changes on installed systems. Drive continuous improvement to the SCADA and communications networks to deliver efficient operational outcomes.
To be successful, you will have tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in SCADA, PLCs and Telemetry systems, demonstration project management and the ability to work effectively with people at all organisational levels.
