About the role:

Reporting to the Manager Risk Services, the Business Continuity and Risk Specialist will be responsible for managing Unitywater’s resilience framework of security, business continuity and incident response functions. You will lead development of the Unitywater Business Continuity Plan and associated crisis and incident management functions and provide advice, guidance and training, ensuring that Unitywater’s business Continuity capability is of the highest quality.

This role includes direct involvement in enterprise risk management functions and supporting the development of risk integrations across critical functions and services within Unitywater.

The role offers the opportunity to interface with a broad spectrum of business areas, engaging with a variety of stakeholders including external agencies. To be successful in this role you will be expected to quickly understand the nature of the business. You will need to be flexible in your approach and be ready to respond to the evolving nature of the business.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to the field of Incident/Emergency Management, Risk Management or significant applied experience in the field.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and leadership of Business Continuity, Crisis and Emergency Response functions and practical experience through application or exercises to test effective implementation.
  • Thorough working knowledge of ISO 31000:2018 and experience in managing and reporting risk in a database, preferably Active Risk Manager®.
  • Broad experience in the development, review and implementation of policies and procedures and Board level reporting related to the business resilience functions.
  • Highly developed communication skills with the capacity to build and maintain sustainable partnerships and relationships, resolve conflict issues and work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capability to facilitate and deliver efficient workshops and training programs.
  • C Class Driver’s License
