About the Position
With post flood work well underway and works getting back on track this is an opportunity to be involved in some challenging and exciting waste water projects. This is a genuine chance to broaden out your experience, expand your learning and expertise in this field and to leverage yourself into more senior roles within Council. Renowned for being a 'Solution oriented' engineer you will relish taking responsibility for providing civil engineering advice on the planning, design and delivery of Council's wastewater infrastructure projects.
As a qualified Civil Engineer, you will be experienced in wastewater planning, design and construction. Your knowledge and work to date will have included gravity sewers, sewage pump stations, pressure mains, reuse systems, property connections and treatment. Regardless of whether you have worked in private enterprise or local government you will be able to demonstrate where you have thought outside the square in solving problems and have a high skill level and experience in computer analysis and software.
You will work closely with the team in a collaborative and open atmosphere to find solutions and deliver quality outcomes for Council. This role also involves:
Overseeing and managing projects to ensure work output is of a technically high standard
Day-to-day supervision of both professional and non-professional staff working on projects
providing technical advice on, and co-ordination of planning, design and delivery of Council's wastewater projects
Providing relevant leadership to project teams

As a guide, a salary of up to $99K + super will be paid to the successful applicant dependent upon experience.
