Description

Due to the continuous success of our Australian operations, WSP currently have an exciting an opportunity for experienced Structural Engineers to work within our NSW Water team, based in Sydney.

Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare concise technical calculations, quality technical reports and engineering drawings
  • Undertaken design reviews
  • Provide guidance on safety in design to others
  • Design or project management of small projects or discrete work packages
  • Assist in managing project communications, project integration and preparing the costing of proposals
  • Carry out structural inspections of new and existing infrastructure

 
To be successful in the role you will:
 

  • Have a Bachelor of Engineering Degree
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years’ experience as a civil/structural engineer, with experience in the water industry
  • Will preferably have worked on major water infrastructure projects for Sydney water and/or other major water authorities
  • Have demonstrated experience in the design of structures, reinforced concrete, structural steel, and structural inspections
  • Be technically competent with reinforced concrete and steel design to Australian Standards including AS3600, AS4100 and AS5100
  • Practical experience using Microstran, Spacegass, Autodesk structural bridge design, Strand 7 and Midas
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
