About the role
Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:
A commitment to work within Icon Water Safety, Environment, Quality and Regulation policies and procedures.
Construction, maintenance and operation of water distribution and sewerage network.
Preparation and restoration of work sites.
Operation and cleaning of plant, vehicles and equipment (hand and power tools)
What are we looking for?
Experience in the construction, maintenance and operation of water and sewerage distribution systems or other civil construction experience is desirable.
Relevant trade qualifications would be an advantage.
Possession of a medium rigid driver’s license is a requirement (HR Class licence would be an advantage).
Be medically fit for outdoor physical duties, working in confined spaces and manual labouring duties will be determined at a pre-employment medical.
Possess basic level math’s and literacy skills.
Possess basic computer literacy skills.
Possess basic safety skills
Possess the ability to locate assets using maps and technical drawings.
Demonstrated experience working in a team environment.
Demonstrated experience of strong commitment to Customer Service.
Have a willingness and ability to acquire and develop new skills.
Demonstrate well-developed communication skills.

Our water and sewerage network is over 6440 kilometres of pipeline delivering more than 100 megalitres of water each day and treating over 29 gigalitres of wastewater each year. Who are we?
Icon Water Limited is an unlisted public company owned by the ACT Government. The company’s voting shareholders are the ACT Chief Minister, Andrew Barr MLA and the Minister for the Environment and Heritage Mick Gentleman MLA.
Icon Water owns and manages the assets and operation of water and sewerage services to the ACT and bulk water to Queanbeyan. Icon Water also has an investment in the ACT’s energy distributor and retailer ActewAGL, through a joint venture of two partnerships with each of Jemena Limited and AGL Energy Limited.
