Tasmanian Irrigation Pty Ltd (TI) is a state-owned company that develops, owns and operates irrigation schemes in Tasmania. Since its inception in 2008, TI has established a suite of 15 operating, market-driven irrigation schemes. The primary  aim of these schemes is to grow the wealth of Tasmania by developing and enhancing the productive capacity of the State’s agricultural industries. TI is entering its next stage of growth with the Pipeline to Prosperity program, providing the opportunity for three leadership roles to support the core function of TI, being water delivery.


General Manager Water Delivery - reporting to the CEO, this executive role is the primary custodian of the TI scheme and legacy assets and is responsible for overseeing the  day-to-day water delivery operations and maintenance including, providing the best possible service to TI’s customers/stakeholders. It also provides strategic commercial and operational analysis and advice to the CEO, Board and senior leadership team in all aspects of the water delivery function.

General Manager Technical Support Services - reporting to the CEO, this executive role will provide leadership to the technical support services team, including management of multidisciplinary engineering consultancy packages for the Water Delivery and Program Development and Delivery groups. It will also provide strategic and operational technical advice to the CEO, Board, Project Control Group and senior leadership team, and a range of external stakeholders including regulators.


Manager Engineering Services - reporting to the GM Technical Support Services, this role will lead a team in the delivery of engineering support services and advice for existing schemes whilst developing the capability and operational knowledge to support the development of new schemes.
The successful candidates for each role will demonstrate contemporary leadership skills and experience in similar senior roles, together with outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills. An ability to drive performance improvement, customer focus and efficiencies and build collaborative working relationships is essential. Experience in the water industry or other service utilities would be highly desirable.
