The Section Manager Treatment Plants and Catchments reports directly to the Unit Manager Water Assets and Facilities Management, working in a supportive team environment with other Section Managers. This role is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Central Coast Council's water and sewage treatment facilities, dams, catchments, ground water and various non potable water treatment and recycling schemes.

Our ideal candidate will apply their strategic thinking to look at the big picture to develop new ideas. Having confidence to challenge the status quo for the delivery of services on our wide range of assets to ensure operation and maintenance expectations are met. You will achieve outcomes and enhance processes to reduce Council's long terms costs through your focus on developing and leading a team of professionals and operational staff.

  • Data analysis to apply a strategic view to develop long term trends;
  • Enhance processes to reduce long term costs.

A vehicle is provided for official duties and private use leaseback is available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy.

Applicants will be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus or demonstrate their immunity.
