About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Network Modelling Engineer who will guide a team of motivated Engineers. You will have an important role at Unitywater in leading a specialist team that delivers long term planning for essential services that protect public and environmental health while supporting significant regional growth. Essentially, your team maintains water supply and sewerage network master plans, for the third fastest growing region in Australia, that have a twenty-year planning horizon.  

To be successful in the role you will need to be a technical specialist with capabilities in advanced hydraulic modeling, complex numeric analysis and preparation of high quality technical reports, As importantly you will be a capable leader that builds a strong and trusting relationship with your team and across the organisation to influence and foster innovation and operational excellence.    In your role you will be supported by a professional mentor and provided with varied opportunities to further develop your professional capabilities and personal qualities.

About you:
To contribute to Unitywater’s values of Reliability, Safety, Honesty & Integrity, Efficiency, One Team, Innovation, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering together with extensive experience.
  • Strong transformational leadership skills with demonstrated success in building high performing teams and productive working relations across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Significant experience in water supply and sewerage network master planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to project manage consultancy arrangements to ensure timely and cost-effective outcomes.
  • High level competency with water and sewerage network modelling software.
  • Well-developed investigative, analytical and research skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high quality technical reports.
  • C Class Driver's License.

The Network Modelling Team is based at our Caboolture Office which is situated about 45mins by train from the Brisbane CBD or within 15 to 20 mins drive of award winning residential communities such as North Lakes and North Harbour. All of these communities are located in close proximity to regional shopping centres, sporting facilities, a range of public and private schools and within 15 mins drive of the new University at Petrie.
