About the opportunity

Jacobs is renowned for the excellence of our technical consulting and project delivery expertise in the water industry. With a wealth of projects in the pipeline we are seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Water Engineer (Civil). Reporting to the Section Lead – Water Engineering, this Brisbane-based Engineer will be a key member of our Water Engineering team.
The Senior Water Engineer will be responsible for the design and project management of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, completing project work on these projects and assisting other project managers with project work. The supervision of graduate engineers and management of other staff, including other disciplines, will also be required as part of completing these projects. Other activities will include:

  • Engineering design (civil, water infrastructure), equipment specifications, cost estimates, tender documentation, report writing, client liaison and proposal writing
  • Assisting with proposal writing and work winning

About you

Essential Skills and Qualifications required for the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil preferred)
  • RPEQ desirable but not essential
  • Significant Water and wastewater design management experience (in excess of 8 years)
  • Water and wastewater infrastructure planning
  • Networks and / or bulk conveyance experience desirable
  • Multi-discipline project management / leadership
