Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working as part of a small team, thinks strategically and possesses high analytical skills. You are the engineer we are looking for if you can work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to contribute towards the medium and long term planning of council's water resources. Some knowledge of working with water resources and demand forecasting models will be useful.
If you are someone who has an interest in water resource planning and enjoys working independently you will excel in this role.
Key activities of this role include:
Contribute to medium and long-term planning of water resources;
Analyse headworks operational data and provide advice for optimising the system yield and the cost;
Prepare periodic reports for internal and external stakeholders;
Work with models to forecast the system demand and yield;
Manage program and projects including providing briefings and reports.

This role provides a salary range of between $77.7k to $93.3k per annum (inclusive of 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance) + superannuation.
A vehicle is provided for official duties and private use leaseback is available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy.
A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role. This arrangement may be subject to change.
