The Opportunity

We have a great but challenging opportunity for a Group Manager City Water. Working both operationally and strategically, this position is critical to the development and delivery of a broad range of complex and diverse City Water activities, including reticulation, metering, wastewater treatment and electrical and mechanical maintenance. About you

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, business / commercial or equivalent experience in water services
  • Proven experience in successfully managing and transforming a large and complex water and wastewater group which delivers compliant and value for money service to the community
  • Exceptional leadership skills as demonstrated in your ability to translate Council strategy to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to drive a high performance culture, which has supported a ‘be of service’ way of working, trust, positive employee engagement and workforce productivity
  • Promoted and supported a culture where all people go home in the same condition as they came to work
  • Outstanding commercial and business acumen
  • Natural relationship building skills to develop effective working relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and schedule in an effective, productive manner whilst focusing on key priorities
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence
