Operations and Maintenance
We currently require an experienced Water &Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team on Rottnest Island as a live-on staff member.
The Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator will work within the utilities team to maintain the Waste Water Treatment plant and repair any plant issues that occur.
The suitable applicant is required to use appropriate procedures and specifications and ensure activities are carried out to a satisfactory and timely manner. Specific projects may also be carried out as required.
Desalination plant & Waste water treatment process experience
Bio waste management experience
Sampling & analysis recording & reporting
Perform routine treatment plant inspections to monitor operational condition of the plant and maintain plant operating capability
Respond promptly to operational changes to ensure treated water and wastewater comply with license and guideline standards
Sewer pump station & pipe network experience
Plant housekeeping experience
Skills and experience
Chlorine handing skills
Confined Space ticket

The Waste Water Treatment plant is a package plant operation that would suit anyone with remote, rural or mine sit experience. It would be highly desirable for the suitable applicant to additionally have a Grade A electrical licence or Mechanical experience.
