In Victoria, our Water Business has a long-standing relationship with the Water Sector and we strive to understand and deliver on our clients’ needs.  The team works on a wide variety of projects including water designs for Victorian water authorities, as well as supporting projects for the broader national team.

Joining our team offers an opportunity to work with an experienced team on challenging and interesting local projects, with access to the wider professional development and multi-disciplinary opportunities offered by a leading global consultancy.

We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Water Planning Engineer to focus on water network engineering and planning, however there will be opportunities to work on design projects and support the broader Water Infrastructure team.


Working with industry leaders, this challenging position has great opportunity and will see you involved in:

  • Project management including managing project quality, cost and programs
  • Developing relationships with key strategic clients and building a portfolio of work
  • Working with our local and interstate/international Water Groups
  • Working with our Digital and Advisory teams to apply innovative thinking to our projects
  • Hydraulic model building, updates or calibration
  • Developing concepts to address system performance deficiencies and growth servicing plans
  • Leading development of scenarios that consider climate change, water efficiencies and IWCM
  • Leading development of asset class plans or renewal strategies
  • Water concept and functional design (designs, preliminary investigations, specifications, costing, constructability, safety in design and risk and opportunity assessments)
  • Producing reports and technical documents


What would you bring to the team?

  • Tertiary qualifications, Bachelor of Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Structural)
  • At least 5 years relevant experience with a focus on water network engineering
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with established skills in preparing reports and delivering presentations
  • Passion to innovate, challenge, and embrace digital technologies
  • Enjoy working in a great team, in a fun environment, and amongst supportive colleagues
  • Background and knowledge in network planning, modelling and GIS software packages
  • Proficiency with water modelling packages such as Infoworks WS or ICM
