ABOUT THE ROLE
Provide high level technical support and direction for Council’s water production and distribution systems, wastewater collection and treatment. Develop and implement water related asset management, provide planning and project management for capital works.
Employment Status: Full Time, Permanent
Award: Level 8 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award – State 2017
Salary Range: $102,270.00 gross per annum.
The successful candidate will have:
| Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
Experience in a leadership role within the Water Industry.
Experience with the commercial and financial performance of a team. This includes managing team utilisation and project governance.
Knowledge and understanding of asset management principles and experience in the application of asset management systems.
Planning the team’s short-term and long-term resourcing to maximise efficiency.
Highly developed problem solving, research and analytical skills.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to contribute to Council’s strategic goals through operational planning and performance management.
Ability to develop a workforce culture of achievement consistent with Council’s vision, mission and strategies.
Understanding of the requirement for excellence in customer service and the need to engage stakeholders and the community to achieve this.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
| Essential Education/Qualifications |
Certificate IV or Diploma level qualifications in one or more of the following areas;
Water and Wastewater Industry
General Safety Induction Certificate (Construction Industry) “Blue/White Card”.
| Essential Licences |
Possession and maintenance of a Queensland ‘C’ Class Driver Licence.
