About the role  
Following a number of significant project wins and a strong pipeline, the Jacobs water business is seeking a Senior Principal Water Consultant to provide; strong technical leadership on our projects, mentorship to the team, outstanding service delivery building strong relationships with our clients and support to our continued strategic growth. 
Your strategic thinking and communication skills will see you influencing project delivery outcomes by keeping abreast of industry developments and our clients’ needs, supported by active engagement in Jacobs’ Communities of Practice. 
This role will see you working on some of the region’s most exciting water projects locally but with a remit to contribute to, and provide technical leadership on, projects across the greater ANZ business and beyond.   
Key to success in this role will be proven delivery in the water sector with technical knowledge and leadership across water projects and our respective clients.

  • Ability and willingness to guide and mentor team members.

About the Team

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established thriving business with a strong pipeline of projects. The current opportunities are predominantly based in Perth and Brisbane however, you will be joining a truly connected ANZ Water Solutions business who provide the full suite of consulting services from advisory and engineering through to operations and asset management.  
This role will be based in Brisbane and our local water infrastructure team is made up of over 45 water industry professionals of all disciplines relevant to water infrastructure, including process, environmental, civil, structural, electrical and control systems, and mechanical engineers, as well as designer/drafters. This breadth of skills allows us to deliver the entirety of multi-discipline water infrastructure projects locally, but also work with our wider national and global water business to both support projects in different geographies. 
A point of difference for this team is the extent to which we collaborate between engineering, economics, asset management and advisory, delivering high end solutions. You will work alongside consummate water industry professionals locally, nationally and globally. The Jacobs water business has water infrastructure and water resources capability in every major city around Australia working across a multitude of markets such as Utilities, Government, Transport, Resources, and Energy Transitioning to name a few.   
Our team is currently working on projects that have a lasting enduring positive impact on our communities such as advisory services for new water sources for agriculture, flood modelling and engineering services to enable greater connectivity, innovative space saving wastewater sludge treatment projects, and major desalination plants in response to our drying climate.
