About the role

We are looking for a qualified Environmental/Process Engineer to join our team and work focused on developing projects for the red meat industry. In this role you will be required to work in the whole project lifecycle, from client engagement up to final project delivery. You will be working close to clients and water authorities together with water specialists on projects development and delivery. You shall be responsible for performing design, contractors coordination and final project delivery.


  • Conducting case assessment, site visit, wastewater and organic waste collection for analysis, characterisations and further data processing
  • Think forward towards sustainable and circular economy aspects and consider optimisation of resources (water, nutrients, energy) during concept development and planning stages
  • Design (model process and hydraulics) and deliver integrate wastewater and biogas plant design, report preparation ensuring regulatory compliance and timeframes
  • Undertake economical assessment and feasibility analysis for decision making process on asset implementation
  • Maintain relationship with client and sub-contractors, coordinate project engineering, drafting and design
  • Keep up to date within latest technology while involved in research and development
  • Work independently, multitask and coordinate project engineering

Essential skills

  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental/Sanitation Engineering (Post Graduation is required)
  • Minimum four years’s experience working with water and wastewater infrastructure projects design
  • Previous experience focused on resource recovery and circular economy for the red meat industry on the Australian Market
  • Experience in integrated wastewater and biogas plants’ design including water recycling
  • Software packages knowledge: AutoCad 2D/3D,  BioWin, CFD modelling (Ansys), Microsoft Office
  • Strong understanding on report preparation and excellent communication skills across multiple water disciplines (water, wastewater, stormwater, recycled water)
  • Knowledge on relevant water and wastewater recycling guidelines in Australia and Western Australia
  • Ability to effectively liase with clients and contractors to negotiate and discuss project needs
  • Water and Wastewater Analytical skills (preferred)
  • Excellent English skills, both writing and speaking
  • Be friendly and have great team work skills
  • Independent and proactive towards tasks and related projects
