Degree qualifications in Accounting (or equivalent) is complemented with extensive Accounting or Finance industry experience along with strong system admin experience in a finance or related ERP system.
This role will allow you to extend yourself and showcase your abilities by driving business improvement and enhancing the delivery of financial services.
A natural at finding solutions to problems and possessing strong interpersonal skills will enable you to transition seamlessly into this role, assisting the busy team and the wider corporation to provide its core services.
About your new role...
Reporting to the Manager – Finance you will be responsible for the administration of the Corporation’s Financial Management Information System.
This support will include general accounting, reporting and process improvements, preparation of monthly reports and variance analysis against budgets for department managers,
In addition, you will be responsible for investment and loan portfolio management, supporting monthly trading results, annual budgets and annual accounts preparation.
An ability to drive business improvement will be well regarded to enhance the delivery of financial services across the organisation.
The position will be based at the Administration Building in Fryers Street – in Shepparton’s CBD Hub. Here you can take a break from figures by popping into the precinct for your morning drink of choice.
You will be joining a stable and multidisciplinary team and will be afforded the ability to work flexibly, in line with GVW’s flexible working policy.
About you... To be considered for this role you must have demonstrated the following;
*Degree in Accounting or equivalent, is essential *CPA of CA professional membership is essential *Extensive experience in the Accounting or Finance Industry *Previous experience in system administration of a Finance or related ERP system *Previous experience with Business Intelligence reporting tool is desirable *Highly proficient in the use of MS Office Suite. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel *Proven ability to engage collaboratively, influence and negotiate with a range of stakeholders *Strong interpersonal skills *Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels *Possess a drive to succeed *Ability to work autonomously, high standard of accuracy and manage your time effectively *Get a buzz out of problem solving and thrive in a fast paced environment *Beyond passionate about providing a positive customer experience *Strong OHS commitment and focus *A current motor vehicle licence is essential
