With an extensive background in safety and culture change, you possess an engaging interpersonal style that influences, supports, enables, and maintains behaviours that help drive the organisation’s safety culture, bringing everyone on the journey.
You will continue to build on the solid foundations that have been laid, whilst committing to continual improvement and creating a best practice safety standard.
With proven experience in developing strong safety cultures and providing strategic safety management, you will provide great leadership to all levels of the organisation, including a dedicated safety team.

About your new role...
As an experienced Safety professional with demonstrated safety and leadership experience, this role appeals as a rewarding opportunity.
Reporting to the General Manager People and Customers, this position is critical in leading GVW’s implementation of the Safety Strategy and action plan to create a step change in safety first culture as well as leading the safety team (4 pax) in their daily operations.
About you... To be considered for this role you must have demonstrated the following;
*Degree qualified in relevant area is essential *Post graduate qualification is desirable *Diploma or above in Leadership or Management *Experience in safety transformation *Demonstrated experience in driving change through an organisation *Proven ability to engage collaboratively, influence and negotiate with a range of stakeholders *Experience in managing safety/culture development program *Strong interpersonal skills *Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels *Possess a drive to succeed *Get a buzz out of problem solving and thrive in a fast paced environment *Innovation and creativity, bringing new ideas to the organisation *Beyond passionate about providing a positive customer experience *A current motor vehicle licence is essential

We provide water and wastewater services to a population of 125,000 (over 60,000 customers) in 54 towns who are connected to 37 water supply systems and 26 wastewater management facilities.
Our region extends from the outskirts of Melbourne in the south, to the Murray River in the north, covering approximately 20,000km2. With an extensive irrigation district and network of rivers and creeks our bulk water supply is principally sourced from the Goulburn, Broken, Murray, Steavenson, Rubicon and Delatite River systems and a number of smaller local streams including Sunday Creek and Seven Creeks.
