Delivering for the future water supply for the Central Coast during this time of emerging drought this is an exciting opportunity to bring your career to the next level to develop medium and long term planning of water resources. Collaborating and engaging with internal and external stakeholders about water security, climate variability and drought management will be a strength you bring to the role. Key activities of this role include: Provide advice and manage water supply issues related to the strategic planning and management of the Central Coast Water Headworks Scheme; Lead an inter-regional approach to water resource planning and develop and maintain professional relationships with neighbouring water utilities to facilitate this approach. Identify and implement opportunities for improved collaboration and partnering with other areas of Council, including strategic planning functions, to ensure future development within the Central Coast is undertaken in a sustainable manner that allows realisation of water resource opportunities; Design, implement and maintain operational guidelines and specific risk management strategies. Objectively consider options/proposals on a quadruple bottom line approach ensuring that the proposed solutions allow Council to remain adaptable to change within an uncertain environment.
